Windows 10 on a server behaves like an ordinary computer, and the first steps are much the same as setting up a new laptop.
Change the administrator password and create a separate account for everyday work. Logging in as the administrator every day is not advisable: any program you start gets the same rights.
Check the update settings. Windows 10 is capable of rebooting on its own schedule, and if the server runs round the clock it is better to set a maintenance window at night so a reboot does not land in the middle of the working day.
Turn off sleep and hibernation. A server has no need for them, and the hibernation file takes up as much disk space as there is memory.
For remote work it helps to tune the RDP quality: turning off the desktop background, font smoothing and animation noticeably lowers the demands on the connection when you are on mobile internet.
