How to reinstall the operating system on the server

Reinstalling the operating system completely clears the server disk and installs the system from scratch. This is useful if you want to change distribution, get rid of accumulated errors, or start the configuration again.

Important: when reinstalling, all data on the hard drive will be deleted without the possibility of recovery. If there are important files or settings on the server, be sure to make a backup copy in advance and save it in another location.

Next, follow the steps:

1. Log in to billing. Your login information has been sent to the e-mail you provided during registration.

2. On the left side of the menu, open the “Products/Services” section and go to the VPS/VDS tab. All your active VPS are displayed here.

3. Find the desired server and click the “Go” button. Next, you will be redirected to the virtual machine control panel.

4. In the “Virtual machines” column, click on the three dots icon next to the selected server.

5. In the menu that appears, select “Reinstall OS”.

6. In the window that opens, specify the desired operating system and, if necessary, add scripts that should be executed during installation.

7. Click the «Reinstall» button. The reinstallation process will begin, and its progress can be tracked in the “Status” column.

After installation is complete, the server will be ready for initial configuration in accordance with the selected OS.
